In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Stay overnight at Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing – Paro:
(Distance: 65 kms. / Driving Time: 2 hrs. / Altitude of Paro: 2280 mts.)
After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place of spirituality for the devotees, with a huge statue of Buddha on top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) - and Folk Heritage Museum, drive to Paro. On the way visit the Tamchog Lhakhang – It is situated between Thimphu and Paro and it was built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo. He is also known as the Iron bridge builder, situated on a hill top, one has to cross an ancient style bridge to reach the temple. On arrival at Paro, check in to the hotel. In the Afternoon you may visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The Dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Stay overnight at Paro.
Day 03: Paro – Sightseeing:
After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong, also visit the famous Taktsang Monastery - called Tiger's Nest (2 hrs. hike from the base camp) & Kyichu Monastery. Enjoy the rest of the evening and stay overnight at Paro.
Day 04: Paro to Phuentsholing:
After breakfast check out from the hotel and say good bye to the visit of Bhutan and reach Phuentsholing for your onward journey.

After breakfast drive to Punakha / Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.). to view the higher Himalayan Range while arriving at Punakha, check in to hotel. In the Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952. You may also go for a short excursion to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang - The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Divine Mad Man”. After breakfast start for a full day excursion to Gangtey (9,840 ft). Gangtey is the home of Black Necked Crane which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north, It is a beautiful valley of Bhutan. You can also visit Gangtey Gompha. In the evening return to the hotel and stay overnight at Punakha / Wangdue.
